Lots More Free Time

So, some of you may have heard that I had an interesting day of work on Monday. That is, I didn’t have work on Monday. The entire Sioux Falls branch of The CERTUS Company (formerly, CRESH) was laid off. The paycheck we should have gotten on the 1st of December will most likely come on Friday, should all go ahead as planned.

What this all means is, I’m spending a lot more time at home this week.

Right now I’m working on my résumé, which will eventually be online, and then I’ll start applying for jobs of all sorts, probably focusing on web design/programming as well as video production. I have a number of positions bookmarked to apply to, but if you know of any good resources or jobs available, let me know in the comments.

A lot of people have been suggesting Unemployment, which I might look into. Other options are doing web freelance work (for which, two “customers” are already lined up), but I don’t think that’ll pay as well as a full-time job. But, I suppose any advice you have is appreciated. I’ve never technically applied for a job before, so this is a new experience.

What does this really mean for you guys? One less excuse for ? Days of Radiohead posts and Newsbleep. And a thousand voices all rang out – in horror.

P.S. I hate Certus.

I've made a smart playlist of all the songs with 0 plays. I listen to them because I feel bad for them not because I like the music. I'm THAT guy.

  1. We all hate Certus baby. But at least this will give you a chance to find something you might half-way like. Which would be a change.
    We’re all rooting for you.

  2. Hey Miles…that really sucks. I’ll be praying for you and Holli, I know you’ll find something. If I hear of anything, I’ll let you know.

  3. Been there; it sucks but does get better.
When God closes a door He opens a window.
In this case, maybe he’s closing the window to open the garage door!

Does this mean I should send money for your wedding present?
