So if your wondering why I never post, it’s because I live a very boring life and have nothing to post about. Anyway, I’m gonna post about a blog related story that I’m not sure if I have told anybody.
A while ago I posted about a certain golf company. In this post I am not going to use his real name cuz it will lead me right back to the start. So in this post I will call him “Gave Daustad”….hint hint. I believe the title of my post was “I hate Gave Daustad”. Now I didn’t actually hate “Gave Daustad”, but I was just bored and being stupid. I talked about how I hated recieving emails from the company when I had never bought anything from them. Whats funny is I did know that I could unsubscribe to the emails but I was too lazy to take the 15 seconds to do so, even though I was willing to take 5 minutes to post about it.
Well anyway, this summer I noticed that someone had just posted on that post even though it was about 3 months old. It happened to be ”Gave Daustad” himself. And basically he said it is not their goal to spam people and he talked about how much it costs him to send out those magazines in the mail(which I also complained about). He went on to explain how to unsubscribe. I then was curious and went into google and typed in ”Gave Daustad”. The first thing that showed up in the results was the actual site, the second was my site with the caption “I hate ”Gave Daustad”" in bold letters. I actually felt kinda bad so I deleted the post.
In the end I ended up buying $40 in golf balls from him so we are tight now. But in the process of buying the golf balls, I discovered that I did already have an account. I don’t think I ever bought anything but I created the account back in like 9th grade when I was about to buy golf shoes but I ended up buying them in the actual store. So sorry ”Gave Daustad”.
Go Gophers!
So I said I was gonna post about my summer but I got lazy and I realized that I didn’t have much more to talk about anyway. I worked 8 - 4:30, M-F. Then after that if I wasn’t playing softball I played a lot of tennis and golf. I really stayed in shape this summer. One of my main goals this school year is to stay in shape. I have been running or playing basketball almost everyday. I’ve been really bored tonight and would have liked to go running or something but I have a cold and my throat is pretty sore. I could hardly talk the last 2 days.
This last weekend I drove down to the cities to watch the gophers play on Sat. The gophers ended up winning. Other than that on Friday night Tyler, David, Chris, and I, plus a friend of Chris and I’s that goes to college in the cities went to Chris’ cousins house for tacos and then we sat around a fire. On Sat. night we saw the movie Tropic Thunder and ate at Olive Garden which was suprisingly good. Sunday I watched the Vikings suck. I guess I don’t have much else to say.
Eric Decker for Heisman!
I’d have to say the best part of this summer was playing slow pitch softball. I played on a co-ed league in Milbank all summer, a mens tournament in Madison, and the co-ed Cornfest tournament. In Milbank we played every Monday for the first half of the summer and then played every Monday and Tuesday in the second half. Our team was the Hill Motor Streakers. I was the pitcher on the team. We ended up losing our very first game in the league but after that we won our next 21 games to finish the season #1 at 21-1. Since we were the #1 seed in the tournament we got a bye in the first round. We then won our second round game and our third round game to push our winning streak to 23 games. However in the game to get to the championship we ended up losing. Because we lost we had to go to the losers bracket to play a game, which we won. That put us in the championship against the team that had just beat us. We had to win twice since they hadn’t lost a game yet. In the end we won both games to claim #1.
In the Madison mens tourney we didn’t play very well. We lost our first game, won our next 2, then lost our last. In the last game I was pitching when the batter hit a line drive right back at me. It was hit so hard I didn’t even have time to think about catching it. The ball hit off the left side of my head right above my temple. I immediately dropped to the ground. I grabbed my head thinking I was gonna die while my left eyelid was twitching uncontrollably. It seemed like I was only down for about 5-10 seconds but when I looked up everyone from my team and the other team was around me. My head hurt really bad but I eventually got up and after about 5 mins I decided to keep playing. I found it really hard to concentrate because it hurt so bad and my vision was kind of blurred. We lost the game by one but I was happy to be done cuz I didn’t want to play anymore. After it happened I was told that after the ball hit my head it flew up into right field and if Matt was paying attention he could have caught it for an out. This happened in mid July and my head still hurts when I touch the spot where i got hit.
In the Cornfest tournament we got second place after we lost in the championship to a team from Brainard that could hit as many homeruns as they felt like. After the tournament I went down to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band concert………….kidding, totally kidding.
After this morning, my senior year is officially underway. I had my coaching basketball class at 8:30 and my lit class at 11:30. Anyway, this summer I kept really busy. I did not blog or read blogs. So instead of posting once about my whole summer I am planning on breaking it into pieces. So stay tuned…..
So as many of you have probably noticed, summer is the time where I don’t post and I don’t read posts. Last summer I believe I didn’t post once. Anyway, this summer I’ve been working at the ethanol plant, golfing, and playing baseball. At work I’ve mostly painted, I’ve done some mowing, and the other day I spent the whole day spraying for weeds in the Ranger. I’ve been golfing allright lately. I shot a 45 today on the back nine. It could have been better but I got an 8 on hole 13. I’ve been the most impressed with my drives. I’ve been hitting the ball relatively straight and I can drive the green or land it near the green with regularity on hole 1. I put one about a foot from the green on 13. I also got a PS3 and have been pk’in some noobs on Call of Duty 4. So if you have a ps3 add me as a friend. My username is smithc5. Peace out dogs
So ever since the Wordpress site updated, I haven’t been able to upload my own pictures. Miles?
I wanted to go home on friday. However, the snow had other ideas. So instead i didn’t go home until Saturday morning. From Marshall to Canby the roads were wet but not bad at all so i drove 60. But for some reason the entire way from Canby to Madison was terrible. I drove 20-30 most of the way. Then from Madison to Big Stone the roads were completely dry so it was smooth sailing. Saturday afternoon Chris and I hit in the batting cage in the Ortonville school. Then on Sunday I went with my family to Siox Falls because Lauren needed some prom stuff. I really didn’t need anything except something to do. I did buy these shorts though:

Thats about all for my weekend. I have a couple tests and a presentation this week. Then next week is finals week. I have one final and its on Monday at 2. This coming weekend I have 2 baseball games and they are exhibition so I’ll actually get to play. Baseball makes the world go around.
The end of the semester is quickly approaching. However I do have most of my stuff done. I’ve written 8 papers in the last 2 weeks and only have 1 more to go. I’ve spent each day absolutely bored out of my mind. I just look forward to falling asleep at night cuz you can’t be bored when you asleep right. The problem is I have had a lot of trouble getting to sleep. The last couple nights I’ve slept pretty good but the previous couple weeks I was averaging about 4-5 hours a night. I just can’t wait till summer. I just want to work/make money, golf, and play baseball. I have 1 quiz and 1 test next week and then my only final is on May 5th at 2:00 pm. After that i’m outie.
SNOW!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? GO AWAY! YOU HAD YOUR TIME TO SHINE ALREADY!
50 points to whoever can name this person. Its actually very easy and Tony will get it first for sure but I just though he looked so different and young.

I registered for classes next semester and here they are

Programming Languages - 3 credits
Capstone Project - 1 credit
Literature:Human Diversity - 3 credits
Intro to Geography - 3 credits
Coaching & Officiating Basketball - 3 credits (fricken awesome!)
This will leave 13 credits left for the 2009 spring semester for me to graduate. It’s gone by fast
I’m writing this because I can’t sleep. I went to bed at 2am and woke up at 5am. Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone that called/messaged me. It’s good to know you care.
I’ll start off by saying Louisville sucks. Just kidding, but I’ll be pulling for UNC to win it all now. I was really pulling for Davidson though. To bad they ran such a crappy final play.
Today is a good day. This morning at 8 am I got my second speech over with, I had class canceled from 10:30 on because of snow and the Twins play their first game today. I love baseball. I plan on going to Ryan Guse’s house to watch the game. Since I don’t have class I’ll probably watch a bunch of episodes of lost. I’ve been watching them on ABC.com. I didn’t know all the episodes were online until Tyler informed me a few days ago that they were. So I’ll be watchin like crazy. And to David, I don’t think you’ll like the panic at the disco cd because you said Nine in the Afternoon was boring and that is probably one of the most upbeat songs on the cd.
Louisville won again! Now they play UNC today which should be an awesome game. I know Miles is gonna watch it. Anyway, I stayed in Marshall this weekend and plan on watching basketball and working on my speech I have to give on Monday. I hate speech. About an hour ago I went out and bought the new Panic At The Disco cd. It’s a lot different then their last cd but I’m sure I’ll like it. For some reason they dropped the ! from Panic!.
I rented season 2 of LOST on monday. I had to return it today but I did finish 19 episodes. Anyway, at the lost party, I mentioned that if you fill out a perfect bracket on Yahoo sports, you win $5 million. So then Miles and one of the other guys their jokingly said we should fill out all the possible brackets. We would just have to create a new account for every bracket. However, for each game there are 2 possible outcomes and a total of 63 games in the tournament so there are 2^63 possible brackets to fill out. Which = 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 brackets. Which is pretty much impossible.
GO LOUISVILLE!
I did a lot of driving during my spring break which was last week. I drove home on Friday, March 7. On tuesday afternoon I drove to Minneapolis and arrived their around 2:00 in the afternoon. I went to Tyler’s house and we watched some ESPN and what not until David came over. Once david came over we headed to the Timberwolves vs. Blazers basketball game. Tyler and I got 4 free tickets for filling out 200 all star ballets at the last timberwolves game we were at. They were losing big so we had nothing better to do. At the game we sat in the upper deck the first have. However, we kept our eyes open for seats that were never filled. This was fairly easy because it was pretty empty. So the second half we sat down in the second row near the corner of the court. We sat right next to Greg Oden and the other blazer players. It was pretty amazing sitting so close. It was a good game. The timberwolves led the entire game pretty much but blew it in the fourth quarter in typical fashion. The next day we didn’t do much. Tyler had class so I gave him a ride so he didn’t have to take the bus. However, on my way back i got LOST. I drove around until I somehow ended up at the Metrodome. From there i knew my way around. I ended up driving home on thursday morning.
Then on friday I drove down to Sioux Falls to watch LOST at Miles and Holli’s place. I had seen bits and pieces of episodes before and they were allright so I figured it would be a good idea to go. I hoped I would like like the show, but instead I ended up loving it. We only watched about 4 episodes on friday night. However, on Saturday we watched for about 17 hours, 10 am - 3 am, and we finished season 1. We also got to eat some awesome roast beef sandwiches. On Sunday we started season 2. I watched the first episode but then headed home because I had to go back to school. I drove to big stone first, packed up my stuff, and then headed back to Marshall.
Bryce, I really think you should watch this show. You could kick that boring/wierd House show right in the face and start watching LOST. It even has a doctor in it that has to perform some surgeries and what not on the island. We all know how much you like your doctor shows. I’m gonna check today to see if I can rent season 2 here on campus.
In the end I ended up driving around 750 miles last week. Probably more.
So I just put this on here to try it out. Once I unchecked the thing Holli told me to, it worked. Before, I had tried pasting it directly onto the text field and I also had tried adding it under the “edit HTML” thing. But neither had worked. Thanks!
Maybe i’m just stupid, I don’t know, probably. But I have been trying and trying to paste in the HTML so i can embed youtube videos on my page. However, everytime I try, it pretty much just scrambles my page. Help would be appreciated.
SPRING BREAK WOOOOOO!
