Applebee that

Sooo, nothing much new since last time, except for a kicking halloween party. And by kicking I mean good for awhile, and then kicking the bucket with hardly anyone I knew.  The host’s roommates had all their friends over so they put the skank in the party, both guys and gals.  Maybe I missed something, but I didn’t know that in order to have a good costume you had show leg and breast.  I’ll keep that in mind for next year.  I’ll be really original, and go as a naughty nurse or a french maid.  Seriously, buying a costume at a costume shop and getting one of the most popular costumes ever is lame.
So on Friday, I worked at the almighty Applebee’s, and headed down to get my friend Megan to bring her back to my place to get ready. Got to my place, B was there, and they did football picks together. We were waiting for the Shu brothers, Wayne and George to get back, and when they did we went to some thrift store to pick out costumes. Bryce was creepy gym teacher, after I talked him out of going as Tom Cruise in Risky Business. George went as a tennis player (Micheal Chang?) Sam didn’t dress up, just got hammered. Megan went as a cat after not being able to find something else, and I set up Wayne with a whole coordinated dress and jewelry and a purse at the thrift store. HOT. I went as pregnant white trash, in my pajamas, a bathrobe with a pillow in my shirt with cigarillos hanging out of my cleavage line, and curlers in my hair. I was the purtiest lad-y thhuur.

I think you can figure out who’s who. Except that Sam is the guy laughing while I get punched. Jerk. Actually, he laid claim to the child all night. He was having a good time, I think.
Lot’s of other first-year’s and second year’s were there, but I can only upload so many photos.

In Applebee’s news, found out that in a week I’m going to be training for carside-to-go, so I can learn the menu and how to arrange stuff. Which means I’ll be able to start getting tips and move to a server quickly after that. I am confused, because there are people who’ve been there longer, and I’m not sure if they get to also, but hey, not complaining! I’ve only been a host a week, so that will make it two weeks total, then two weeks as carside to go, and soon after that, I will be a server. Awesome.

Also awesome is my new make-up. It’s called “Bare Minerals” and they hock it on TV with “just swirl, tap and buff”. Too bad it takes a bit longer than my old routine used to, but at least I don’t look so washed out. I got a starter kit when I went shopping with Megan the other day. Good stuff - I’d recommend it. Although most people who read this don’t wear make-up…

School is school. Had a test the other day that was on exactly what the professor said it wouldn’t be the week before. Pretty sure everyone was not happy. Lots of bad-mouthing…

Anyways, Bryce made me post. So I don’t really have anything else to say. My spaghettios are getting cold and my beer warm, so ttfn.

I can’t believe I’m doing this.

When everyone started the blog craze a few years ago, all I could think was “too much free time,” and “a little nerdy?” But over the years, it’s came down more to “too much free time”. The crazy part about it is that although I’m this big grad student and all, I’ve never had so much free time and no one to talk to ever. Why else did I get a blog? I think everyone knows, since for the past few weeks I’ve been e-harrassed on all the clans’ blogs. Even momma Rausch got in on it, and that was the final straw.

So now, what the heck am I supposed to write about? I think the Spur took all the writing out of me. I suppose until I get creative with it, I will just have to tell everyone what has been going on, since I really haven’t personally spoken to anyone but my family personally. I’m just not a personable kind of person. Which leads me to the news of the week.

I have a job. Well, Bryce and I have the same job, which involves being personable, and like I said, I’m not. In fact, telling people “Thank you, Have a nice day, enjoy your meal, your server will be right with you” makes my face hurt from all the fake smiling. But it’s money and I can afford a face-ache for that. In a few weeks, I can train to not just be a greet and seater, but a server that brings foor and makes tips. Right now, (training is $5.15) I make $3.80 with 3% of the sales while I’m clocked in, so it actually pays pretty good. But like I said, I’m not really personable, but I can fake it for some money. It costs 19 dollars for two movie tickets, and 17 dollars for two pops and a popcorn at the theather out here, according to my friend out here, who went this past weekend.

Overall, I get along with my classmates pretty well. One, Wayne, lives in the same apartment building as me and Bryce, and we ride to class. Which cuts my gas in half, so can’t complain. So sometimes we hang out and watch T.V., mostly on Thursday. Another guy is Sam, who B and I agree is pretty cool. He’s our age, but he is already married, so we have a lot in common that way. There are many girls in the class, but most are really what I would call acquaintances. I’m not going to talk bad about anyone, especially since no one here knows them, but they (some) like to talk behind people’s back, including about my best friend here, Megan.

Megan O’brien is from Wisconsin, bright red hair, and my professor loves her. In a kinda creepy “Uncle Bryce” sorta way. (Above girls, probably jealous). But anyways, she’s from Wisconsin, so she’s a Midwest girl. We have some political differences and all that, but we get along well. We got our hair cut together. She’s gonna help me pick out my wedding dress. Her boyfriend Dominic sold Bryce his car, and we’ve had couples night.

What else? Oh yes, Mom, I’ve gotten some kittens. I haven’t told you yet because I wanted to see how it would work out, but I got two kittens. They are black, brother and sister, and they were rescued by an agency out here. They are already spayed/neutered, and had all of their shots, and I have free checkup for each of them at Petsmart. They are a little on the shy side, but they’ve warmed up to me. Bryce? Oh no. They are scared to death of him. Probably because he watches sports every day, and when he does, he likes to cheer, clap, etc., which scares them out of their wits. And he wonders why they run from him. Bear (the boy) is eating, and Bitty (she’s on the small side) is looking to get in there.

They are very playful and they like to curl up on my feet and by my face at night, they are very fun except for the loud purring at night. Bryce wants to be their buddy, we’ll see.

On the school front, no dead bodies yet :( Sorry. Lots of pictures, but nothing for real real. Sooo, I think that about concludes boring post number 1. Just remember, you all asked for it!
