wow…

The title of this post means nothing really. It kind of, if taken sarcastically, sums up the last few weeks of life.
Home was good. It was nice to see everyone and the trip went well both ways. We saved at least $150 by driving straight through both ways, which makes about a 20 hour trip each way. We also packed a lunch, another money and time saver - no stopping besides gas and potty. The cats did well, no major dilemmas. I spent most of the time home Christmasing, fishing, and preparing for the upcoming day of disaster, i mean wonderfulness (i.e. the wedding). The only thing Bryce originally put up a fight with is ushers and tuxes, him saying no way. Now that we are no longer at the tux picking out locale, he has changed his mind. So we have to call Jean’s Bridal and get that taken care of and inform the ushers they now need to get fitted. But every other major thing has been taken care of, now to ask for slaves to do all of those tasks like cake cutting and punch pouring.
When we got back, I asked to train for server at Applebee’s, and told them when I was done with it, I had a week or so before school started so I could work some shifts. Well, bad idea, but also kinda good. I made quite a bit of money, but they tried to kill me. After and during training, I had 1 day off, and most of the rest I worked doubles. Hence, if anyone has tried contacting me via computer, I probably didn’t respond right away because I never went on the computer. And the week after that, I started classes. I have 18 credits, three of which are lab credits. Three labs, each for 3+ hours a week. Glad I don’t have to pay for the credits, but still, I really have 24 hours of classes a week, in two separate locations. I might not have an hour commute, but I still have a lot of driving, and an hour or two here and there between classes to make school pretty much like a full-time job, when homework is accounted. All I want is a pity party, waaa.
The money at server has been better, mostly because we work weekends. This Sunday lunch i made ~$90 in tips and several other days have made 50+. Once I start serving on like Saturday nights, there will probably be nights above $100.
Congratulations on another innocent woman being sucked into the conglomerate known as the Rausch family. Once you set a date Holli, you can’t go back. I could say more about this, but I think everyone who reads my blog already know about this (awesome!) event.
I also made the semi-rash decision to buy a (used, refurbished) PS2 gaming console, memory card, extra controller and several games. Why? Because I had wanted a gaming system for a while. I really would have liked a super nintendo since I am no good at the complex controllers because I never owned anything more sophisticated, but we played it quite a bit right away. After I beat Bryce in NBA Jam (twice), wiped him in Tiger Woods, and out-raced him in Need-for-speed indergound, and had a higher ranking in lord of the rings, he doesn’t want to play anymore. Madden is too irritating for me. If you set up a play, put your quarterback vision on a guy, and push the button shown above him, Peyton Manning should throw it there! And if I pick a rushing play, he should hand it off! I do want to get guitar hero 2 and a guiter, maybe two, but first we are going to try it out at my also newly engaged friend Megan and fiancee Dominic (who sold Bryce his car). While I did really beat Bryce in all those games, the main reason we haven’t played as much now is that we have been really busy. I didn’t buy the PS2 to play every day, just once or twice a week, so what he is whining about, I don’t know. Plus I paid for it with part of the money from my Grandma/Grandpa, which I have always spend on menial things like textbooks, but I decided to get something fun with this year instead. The rest of Grandma’s money also covered textbooks, plus some, before my mother calls to yell at me for wasting my money.
The rest of Grandma’s money went to a new bed-in-a-bag set. It’s pretty awesome, its green plaid - spring colors. 220 count, so fairly soft. On sale at target 40% off!
I also purchased my wedding dress. Some idiot woman working there couldn’t find it at the store when I told her the number, but I looked on the racks and found it immediately, so much for knowing your way around your own store. I liked the woman who helped me pick it out the time before. This woman was an idiot. She gave me the wrong veil so now I have to exchange it for a new one. I don’t have money to waste on toll roads just because she can’t tell a champagne ivory from white. I’m also bitter about it.
In other news, both my computer and cell phone batteries don’t seem to hold a charge these days. I try to only plug them in when the get to where they say low battery, but maybe the Pennsylvania outlets are just stupid. Who knows.
Basically, you can see why I didn’t post–nothing to report, no time to report it.
