I suppose

Well, as many of you know, actually I’m betting everyone, which isn’t many during the summer months, knows that this summer has been a life altering and important one.
See, this little thing like getting married happened.
As if no one reading this was there.
So this summer. Well, the first few weeks were working every day but Sunday’s at Applebee’s, earning spending money in anticipation of the second 2/3 of June and first 1/3 of July, where I was back in Minnesota. Nothing exciting per say happened. Had some fun with friends out here in the suburbs of Philadelphia. My mom and sisters arrived June 7, and we went to the zoo and Atlantic City and other area sites. Then, the four of us headed back to the midwest, where I spent several weeks preparing for the wedding and doing some fishing. It will probably be the last time I spend that much time with my parents/sisters and not working. Although it seems like it should have been very relaxing it was stressful. I will never get married in a big ceremony again. Ever.
The week of the wedding was a blur. Craziness ensued the night before the wedding, which I hadn’t anticipated, or at least wanted. But as my friends and some of my family know, I’m a quiet party animal who isn’t the first to go home. So I was up late, fairly intoxicated. Thank you probable future brother-in-law Alex for getting the bride to be home. So, much to my surprise, I was not hung over. Which is crazy, since, as Bryce can attest to, when I am not. But did the hair thing, the getting ready, pictures, and the big ceremony. This was followed by a trip to the Moose to get a drink and kiss the moose. Then more pictures an food. Which was AMAZing. But not as amazing as the cake–beautiful! The dance followed. And then the Econo Lodge.
What did I forget to mention? That everything went perfectly! Well, unless you remember that it was 104 degrees with no AC. But otherwise, absolutely perfect.
We then returned to the suburbs of Philly, where I went back to work and prepared for Bryce’s parents to come. Val had a conference in downtown Philly and we got 4 to 5 star meals at Morton’s the Steakhouse paid ofr by someone else, and Morimoto’s (the Iron Chef) on Val. Delicious. We also tried the third major cheesesteak place in Philly, Jim’s. We have eaten at Geno’s, Pat’s, and Jim’s. Our order of greatness is Geno’s, Jim’s, and Pat’s. A Philadelphia cheesesteak is beef and cheese whiz, with or without onions or peppers. You haven’t had a cheesesteak until you’ve had one out here.
Also, to anyone who believes I’ve been ignoring anyone, I’ve been tired.
And if you would like to come help with thank you notes, I will not turn you down.
I’ve also read Harry Potter! Yeah! I did this on our mini honeymoon to Atlantic City. I guessed the book, and I’m excited. Well, at least most of it. If you want to talk about it, call me at 320 815 8198. Seriously. I’m very excited about my guessing much of it.
Also, I have chopped off my hair. To about my ears. Yes, I went from longest since childhood to short again. But I like it!
Now, we are preparing for Miles and Holli’s visit in a few weekends, as well as our impending move on August 24. Yeah!
