Long time coming

So I guess it has been forever since I posted. I think that is the story of my blog life but, doesn’t bother me.
Since I last posted, we hosted Miles and Holli. It was a good time, I’m sure you’ve all read their blogs. Did the Philly things, like cheesesteaks and Center City. It was mostly a hang-out weekend, which was nice in its own.
The next weekend was not a hang-out weekend. As most of you know, we moved. So that meant we (mostly me) had to pack up the whole apartment. We loaded it late Thursday night, and unloaded at the new place on Friday night, and did some unpacking. The next day was August 25th, which was my 23rd birthday. In general, it blew. I unpacked alot of stuff, and went to eat at Red Lobster with a gift card we had gotten. This is going to sound crazy to you Midwesterner’s, but Red Lobster is terrible seafood. I’ve eaten at some good cheaper seafood places out here, but we didn’t have enough time to go them. Then we went to hang out at a friends, and then I didn’t feel good, but decided to go with to Reed’s (a local nightspot) to groupie for the band Split Decision, which my single friends are in love with. Basically, I did not feel good but tried to have a good time, which was hard since Bryce fell asleep between sets and during the sets he had his arms on top of my head and about anywhere else that would be considered smothering me. And my friends were super drunk and making me wear a stupid headband, and yelling Mikey loves it, Dougie loves it, and I pretty much think that Mikey and Dougie didn’t care. Had I been feeling better, it could have been fun, but when you have to run to the BR every ten minutes and have a head ache a live band doesn’t do it for you.
So a lot of complaining in there, but basically my birthday was overshadowed by moving and IBS and being tired.
The next Wednesday, I started class again. I’m pretty sure the classes will be interesting, but they will also be aLOT of work. I might not start back up at Applebee’s so that I can have some free time.
Some interesting things will happen for me this semester. We went to a cold case discussion are writing a letter to the investigators with our suggestions, so hopefully we help. We also are going to an exhumation in October, and they plan to get us to an autopsy as well. I also have to start looking for a job, and preparing for my internship next spring. So if you feel like I’ve forgotten you exist, well, I probably have but not because I don’t like you. I will probably fall off the face of the Earth for the most part.
Also, looking forward to the next two weekends. This coming weekend is the “case race”. The forensic science program splits up into two teams to see who can finish their cases first. Last year we did kegs, but we don’t want to deal with getting two taps. I’m captain of the green team, and I like my chances.
The next weekend, my cousins Alicia and Justin are coming out for 5 days to hang out, so I’m hoping to show them a good time. Should be fun though!
