Mini-post

Well, since there has been a recent surge in blogging activity due to threats by a certain mother-in-law of mine, I will “mini-psot” although clearly she hasn’t forgotten I said I wouldn’t post all the time.
Tonight Justin and Alicia will be coming. I’m excited and I know we’ll have a great time. Whenever guests come, it means we get to have cheesesteaks and to those of you who haven’t had one, they are amazing. Cheese whiz is the best thing to come to fried beef and bread. I’m going to think of some options, and I will leave most of it up to them, since it’s their vacation.
I don’t remember if I mentioned it last time, but Bryce and I have been hitting the gym pretty hard lately. Although Bryce believes I didn’t have much to lose, I have already lost ten pounds. I’m down to 145, so Bryce and I weigh the same. The same as my husband who is half an inch taller than me. So anyone who thinks I didn’t have much to lose must think he’s got some to gain, or are crazy. My goal is about 7 more, although muscle mass will make that hard. I’m pretty muscular for a girl, and muscle weighs more than fat, so i will settle for inches in the right places. If only I could stand doing abs.
I’m also in that place where it is time to start applying to jobs. Most jobs are government, and although they are accepting applications through the end of October, the interviews won’t be til Nov/Dec, and the job won’t start til next spring, so now is the time to find one for after school. Also, if I find one that starts next January, I can substitute a job for my internship requirement (although it takes some pleading). So wish me luck, and if you have any contacts in criminal laboratories, tell them you have their next awesome employee and direct them to me!
Also, we have mice. And I don’t mean the ones in cages, although I wish I did. I like my apartment, but between me and my cats, we have caught three. I haven’t caught one in 4 days, so I may have caught most of the population, but we will just have to see. Although it may seem gross, they are really cute, and the cats have gotten to live like real cats, hunting something other than bugs for awhile. So, having mice isn’t all bad to me.
Time for class!
