HD

Wow. I see everyone is flexing their Blogging Muscles, and when I say everyone I mean just the people I like.
And the main topic of conversation…lent. Wow. I guess it makes sense, we usually see posts around holidays when we alter our routine a bit. Based on my reading, I feel for Dan the most. I know he’s given up meat before, and I know I could survive, but I’d be afraid to because you have to read up on that kind of thing to make sure you stay healthy. And more/most/morst importantly, if Dan gave up video games, who will save the world/release the first all-drums platinum pop album?
Friday night Linds and I, since was wasn’t drinking, we watched the movie Juno (director gave me a screener copy). Great. I’d recommend checking it out. It’s not slapstick or big action or anything like that, but is certainly a charming and clever movie based in…you guessed it, Minnesota. And thank God they didn’t even attempt the accent. Damn you Fargo!
I’d like to present a question to ya’ll.
Which sport looks the best in HD?
I’ve seen boxing, soccer, tennis, golf, basketball, football, baseball, Nascar, and hockey. Most of these are significantly better in HD. Like, night and day.
So, what are your thoughts? Which looks best in HD?
My opinion: golf. Not to say the rest aren’t unbelievable, but baseball, golf, and hockey all regularly are difficult sports to follow the ball/puck. But in HD, it makes it much much easier. So, between these, when you compare seeing these sports on regular TV versus in HD and being able to see the ball in-flight, see the green’s breaks, how the grass is cut, etc. Unmatched.
I’m no expert. So I want your opinions.

Who cares about HD! It’s all about the size of your TV. The bigger the better
I’d say basketball, but they are all good.

Why did you have to influence? Now I think golf, but I’m not sure if it was all me or me influenced by you. Game over.

We’ve been planning for a while to see Juno, but this week might be the week we have time to do it! Here’s hoping.
I’m waiting for someone to give up blogging for Lent.

Katie gave up TV. No TV shows, no movies, no Hairspray… If we are having a contest for ‘biggest Lenten Bad-Ass”, I think the award should go to her. Especially considering the house she lives in. I can’t count the number of times in the past 5 days someone has said, “hey, does anyone want to watch _____?” Everything from Arrested Development, Emperor’s New Groove, Bill Cosby Himself, and Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy has been brought up, and that was just on Saturday! Pray for her.
As far as HD goes, I think my vote is baseball. Maybe I’ll have to do a study these next few weeks while I’m not playing video games.

I think Britt and Tyler have given up Blogging for Lent and then some… as for the HD I know you all think you know what I am going to say, but what I really think should be the best in HD is Curling!

I think tyler gave it up because it made him lose his job. To soon? Not soon enough!

HD doesn’t really excite me much. I say who cares its all the same. Is it worth paying more to see a picture thats a little clearer. For me, the answer is no. As for Juno, I havnt seen it. But it brings up a good point. Whats up with every high school girl in milbank getting pregnant. Lauren said there is like 8 now. Come on milbank what are you doin.

Oh, I think we know what they’re doing! And they’re doing it well. And I can never go back to HD now.

I think that hockey is the best in HD mainly because you can see the puck 100x better. Football is prolly next on the list because it is one of the only events i watch from start to end. I would blog again…but i can’t figure out my password :S

We saw Juno and thought it was a very good movie.
After you see HD, Chet, you’ll change your mind. Especially after you see an HD Silverstein music video. You’ll swear you can feel their sweat on your face.
