January 1st, 2010
Here’s kind of an idea for posts from everyone: TAL style.
TAL stands for This American Life. Every week there’s a topic and then they tell stories regarding said topic.
I want everyone to come up with their “Best” story from the past year and either post it on your blog or put it in the comment section of this one, or post of facebook, whatever. Like TAL it doesn’t have to be incredible, just some kind of story that happened to you. It could be your dog dying or a car crash or moving or something that happened to you going to class one day.
Whatever. I’ll follow this up with my own.

I love This American Life but I’ve got two things against me.
1. I’m bad at thinking of stories.
2. I’m bad at retelling stories that I can think of.
So I’ll just read everyone else’s!

It might surprise you to know that I’ve been thinking about this post ever since you posted it, and I think I finally have a story that I can share, TAL-style.
