#6

Wow. So, we’re at #6, the marathon is almost done.
To be honest, it wasn’t too hard to do, but if it’s a boring night at the Rausch, Nelsen-Rausch house then it’s hard to post.
Linds has fallen in love. She loves her some Paper Mario wii game. I basically just watched her play for an hour yesterday, and to be honest, I don’t have any real inclination to want to play myself. Just watching is good enough, and trust me, it makes me feel like an old grandpa. “No, you kids run along, grandpa will just watch.”

So, #6 is the last No Doubt song of the top 40. Don’t Speak.
I would still agree it’s my favorite No Doubt song. I don’t think it’d make a top 40 anymore, but it might make a top 100.

Linds and I bought our first Wii game last night. Super Paper Mario. We essentially know nothing about the game, but it kind of looks like Mario Bros. and that’s good enough for us.

Of course, if Tony had been a bit quicker on the texting we would’ve bought Galaxy.

Also, anyone watch the Republican debate last night? Who came out ahead and behind in your books? In mine, Ron Paul is crazy, Thompson did decent but he has too much ground to make up, Guiliani did alright, Romney dropped a few points in my book, Huckabee I couldn’t see as president, but did a decent job.
So, who is my candidate right now? Maybe Rudy at this point. It can and probably will change, I just need to get a firmer grasp of how everyone is on ALL issues.

#7 is Waterfalls by TLC.
I know what you’re thinking…#7…REALLY BRYCE? Well, it was catchy at the time, I think some dude gets AIDS in the song, and if that combination doesn’t make a top 10 hit, then I’m just gonna quit listening to music all together.

Well, the wii came last night. It was already hooked up when I got home from work. So far, not bad. Boxing was definitely a workout and I was finally able to beat up my wife. Punching her in the face, where the baby is probably growing, and in the arms. She did decent, but I knocked her out, like a good Midwest man should. Then we played tennis where actually playing tennis hurts, cause you try some spin moves and stuff like that and it ruins the shot and you miss completely. Then we played some baseball, which is gay, not competitive at all, we didn’t hit anything over a single and I found out pretty quickly it doesn’t matter how hard you throw, it goes about as fast as it wants to.

So, who wants to recommend games? Go ahead ya’ll. Share with me.

#8 is Un-Break My Heart by Toni Braxton
I loved this song. I even bought the single. A word of warning, if you buy the single of any R&B like song you get that same song like 5 times, a different remix each time. So you better really like that song. If you buy a single for a rock song you get like 5 B-side songs along with it, sometimes you find a hidden treasure (and not the “I threw up in your shoe last night” kind).

That Lucas from that movie Lucas. What a nerd bomber, huh? The kid’s 14, wants to play varsity football, talks about penis folds in the shower, and gets nearly killed after what should’ve been ruled an incomplete pass anyway, but was then picked up as a fumble. In his like 3rd and final play of this football career (I’ll assume) he had 2 completions, a lateral, a fumble, and half a tackle. And forced an injury timeout in the losing effort. And he got a letterman jacket for the effort! To go to his school. I coulda been a sum body!!!

I’ll bet most of you haven’t seen this movie, and I don’t care. I just ruined it but it was released in 1986 so I gave you all PLENTY of time to see it. Still, go see it, cause it’s a decent flick.

I am feeling for the Dolphins’ Ricky Williams. Some jerk went out of his way to hurt him, and took him out of the game. I don’t care if he’s a pot head, pot heads are funny (unless they are potheads smokin’ blunts, those guys tend to be gansta’s, and are not only not funny, but will probably kill you), and I’ll bet Ricky Williams is the funny “peace and love” kind of pothead, not the emo kind, the gansta kind, or the sneaky kind. He’s obviously not sneaky about it, he got busted like 100 times.

So, #9 is I want you by Savage Garden.

I liked it cause it was fast, and that’s about it. Still a decent song to listen to, screams 90’s though, and also screams adolescent favorite!

What a game by the Eagles. If he doesn’t severely overthrow that pass in the endzone, we’re all talking upset. They had so much momentum it was as if the Patriots were waiting to lose. Personally, I like the Patriots, but I want them to lose so they can drop the “best team of all time” label. Maybe they are, but I kind of think a lot of the teams this year are just mediocre and they are really good. You match them up with some of the best teams ever and it’d be interesting.

Anyway, the weekend is done, I’m at work, and I feel like I’m in a rut here. Our team quit getting any type of warm leads and basically were told, it’s all on us now. So, it’s an uphill battle and we have to try and find good contacts to continually get referrals. Yikes.

Also, go Vikes.

To kick off my top 10 list is the Cardigans’ Lovefool song. No link, I couldn’t find any. Very much a pop song, I believe the band is british, and I can’t name a single other hit of theres. Would not make my top 100 anymore.

As was made to my attention by one faithful reader, I never gave the trivia answers:
In 193mmm the baseball hall of fame opened, inducting 5 players right away, who was the first?

Ty Cobb, one of my favorite players of all time

What item is the Docker’s Logo?

An Anchor

What does Popeye have tattooed on his forearms?

Also, Anchors

What college did Brett Favre go to?

Southern Mississippi

What mountain peak, that is not part of a range, is the highest peak in the world?

Mount Kilimanjaro

Well, last night Linds went to go see Split Decision, a local cover band, and I went to Dominics for some heavy drinking and game playing. We played Madden, Need 4 Speed, and one of those Star Wars games all on the PS2. If it wouldn’t have been such a pain in the ass I would’ve brought my computer over for some Call of Duty 2.
Today, we actually get the Vikings game in HD, boo ya. Dan, the Wii is not weak, you’re wrists are weak and that’s why you’re afraid of a wii, cause of the required wrist movements. Please, leave wrist envy out of my comment section, it’s an ugly thing (like how your puny wrists are probably ugly, people living with Dan, look at his wrists and let me know just HOW ugly they are, and if they classify as fugly).

I have to say, this wii thing SHOULD get me and Linds more friends in the long run. It’s a friendship investment. Like a “game room” or “wet bar” or “son named Bryce” (which Mom and Dad used to get TONZ of friends). I’m actually excited for it, especially the boxing one. That is my latest fad, boxing. Ever since I worked at Applebee’s everyone was into UFC. Well, screw that, but boxing is similar and I started following the Mayweather and De La Hoya fight. Watched the fight and now Mayweather is on to his next fight against Hatta, some british guy. HBO is doing a good job promoting the fight and I’ve followed along with their 24/7 series. It also inspired me to work out, which most days I need the inspiration.

Oh wait, there’s a countdown? Yeah? And it’s at #11. Well, lets have it then.
#11 is Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio. Definitely my favorite Coolio song, would definitely make my top 40 rap songs, maybe even my top 20 or 10. I first heard this song because of Weird Al’s cover heard here.
Go Vikes, cheers Notre Dame, sorry Timmy, HAHA Kansas, Go UNC, Boo Giants, Go (swallowing vomit) Eagles.

Goooooooooooooooooood Morning!
Well, Linds and I bought a freaking Wii last night! On eBay cause we went to Walmart, Best Buy, EB Games, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Ulta, the Grocery Store, where Bear and Bitty were first found (behind a Chinese food restaurant in the 2nd dumpster on the left), McDonald’s, and we checked our apartment up and down. No where to be found. So, we checked which eBay auctions were ending and we picked one and won 4 controllers and wii Play and the sports disk. We decided we wanted a Wii for a Christmas present to ourselves.

Also, we bought some Christmas presents for some of you readers, but have lots to go. Today I hope Notre Dame will win, I hope Timmy beats a ranked Stanford team, and I hope I don’t beat Linds. I really really hope that. Then during the divorce she’d get the cats for sure. And I’ll kidnap those pussies if I have to.

So…#12 is Kiss by Rose by Seal. Someone first explain to me how Seal can be married to a supermodel superstar and he looks like he grilled his face at MacDaddy’s. And then used the grease and blood from his wounds from his terribly scarred face to make my California burger which even though I can see like an eyelash and some loose skin in my burger I STILL EAT IT cause there are starving kids in Redfield cause they are all trailer trash there and they can’t afford to go out and eat, they can only afford to be red-head and steal from rich people. And the California burger is on special that day!
Peace in the East. I’m out.

Thanksgiving was a success again this year. We had 4 guests, a big ole turkey with leftovers for everyone, and tons of appetizers, etc. We watched the Packers win again, so now it all really depends on the Giants. If the Vikes start winning and the Giants start slippin is our only chance.

Anyway, had a good chat with Sue, Mom & Dad, and Miles on Thanksgiving.
Miles, I’m very excited about what’s gonna be coming out of your production now with that souped up Mac and Final Cut Express. Exciting stuff.

#13 is C’Mon Ride It (The Train) by Quad City DJ’s

Another one of those embarrassing songs. Especially at #13!

Have a nice weekend, ya’ll.

Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll.

Well, last night was spent doing a lil cleaning, Linds doing some cooking, and mostly hanging out. I got out of work early and now today we have the Forensixxx coming by for football, food, and fun.

I’ll have to remember to call mom and dad sometime today.

I’ll make this brief,
#14 is Midnight in Chelsea by Bon Jovi and try as I might, I could not find a sample of this song. I’m sorry.

Trivia night last night was PACKED. We couldn’t even sit down for the first couple rounds, finally we sat at the bar and defined mediocrity. We continually scored middle of the round scores, never breaking 8 pts out of a possible 11.
Some questions:
In 193mmm the baseball hall of fame opened, inducting 5 players right away, who was the first?
What item is the Docker’s Logo?
What does Popeye have tattooed on his forearms?
What college did Brett Favre go to?
What mountain peak, that is not part of a range, is the highest peak in the world?

FUN TRIVIA LOL!

#15 A Change Would Do You Good by Sheryl Crow

This song wouldn’t make my top 40 favorite Sheryl Crow songs anymore. Wait, it would, easily, but it’s not a great song. Not top 40 worthy.
Have a good Day-Before-Thanksgiving Day.
